Country Specific BlogSpot URLs

Blogger has started using Country Specific URLs and some of you might have already noticed it. The change has been rolled out in India.If you are from India try visiting any BlogSpot URL and you will be redirected to the country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD). For example if you visit any page on http://bloggerindraft.blogspot.com from India , you will be redirected to the country specific page on http://bloggerindraft.blogspot.in . Similarly if you visit any other ccTLDs  from India, you will be redirected to the Indian TLD. Continue Reading

Add descriptions to Label Gadget

This was a query that I got over email and I when I saw her implement it on her blog, it looked cool and I thought this might be useful for others as well. This won’t look that great with Blogger’s Label Cloud. So this trick is only for those who use the list view in the Label Gadget. Fix: Wrong Description and Image on sharing posts to Facebook

When you share a post on Facebook, it will display a thumbnail picked from the post page along with a short description of the post. But in many cases Facebook fails to  identify the correct image and description that it should use. This leads to irrelevant images and description coming up in Facebook when you or your readers share the post. This is totally annoying, and I had got many queries regarding this on our Facebook page and via email. During the initial launch, Google Plus was limited to personal profiles unlike it’s rival Facebook which had a platform where brands can create pages for themselves. Plus was then a platform for connecting people to people and not with brands.During the initial phase it never allowed Brands to Create profiles for themselves by imposing strict name checks while creating the profile.
